BUDS2 version that works after November 2025. 

BRP has discontinued support for BUDS2 software effective November 1, 2025. 

If you have a BUDS2 version released before November 2025, the program will no longer function and will not detect the connected vehicle.

Please download and install the version BUDS2_25.0.0_7B7B_24-02-26_Setup.

Please perform a "new installation" as is described below.

New installation:

IMPORTANT! Save the vehicle-settings-files* of scanned vehicles (perhaps you will need them in the future).

*Every time you are scanning a vehicle by BUDS2, the vehicle-settings-file (xxxxxx.buds2) is automatically saved in folder Files in C:\Program Files (x86)\BRP\BUDS2\Files .

The name of each file consists of: VIN + Date (year/month/day) + time (hour/minute/second) when the file was automatically saved.  Example: 2BX2GEGZ8KJ000000_20250523190848.buds2.

1. IMPORTANT! Uninstall old BUDS2 version in Control Panel – Programs and Features.

2. IMPORTANT! Delete the folder BUDS2 in C:\Program Files (x86)\BRP.

3. Download and install as Administrator the version BUDS2_25.0.0_7B7B_24-02-26_Setup.exe.

4. Connect MPI with the serial number specified in your order and activate the license: BUDS2 license activation.

**After installation will be completed you can copy/move the saved vehicle-settings-files to folder Files in C:\Program Files (x86)\BRP\BUDS2\Files .

Warning!!! 

Highly recommend! 

• If BUDS2 recognizes the 2026 model: Do not update any modules!!!!

• Since BRP has discontinued support for BUDS2, please do not update iBR modules 278003606 if BUDS2 prompts you to update. The update may not be installed successfully, and the module will stop working. 

There have been several cases of the iBr module p/n 278003606 issue occurring after applying the Mandatory Update and there is still no solution to restore the module.
